I am a graduate of Maseno University with a degree in Anthropology with Information Technology. I did my attachment at Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), Kisumu under department of UMSS (University of the Massachusetts Medical School) where my specific duties included verifying data and ensuring entries are correctly done, ensuring that data from the field captures defined variables, transcription, coding, backing up the database daily, ensure daily filing of the data forms after entry into the database, daily data cleaning and observing timeline for reporting. I also worked as a research assistant for one week at Uwezo Kenya which involved interviewing class one to three students to understand their learning capabilities in order to come up with possible solutions in enhancing productivity and learning in the Kenyan education system.
I also assisted in data collection for a PhD student at about the financial aspects of people who do fish business.
I have strong computer skills in Microsoft office. I am hardworking, a team player, self-driven, fast, flexible and with a great ability to multitask. My main goal is to be able to be of help by giving back to society positively through research, empowerment, creating awareness, enhancing development, policy making and collaboration. My experience includes front office, data collection, filing, coding as well as transcription.
