This is a self-centering hinge drill bit set (commonly known as Vix bits), specifically designed for precision woodworking. Each bit features a spring-loaded outer guide that fits securely into the pre-drilled holes of a hinge or bracket, ensuring the internal drill bit creates a perfectly centered pilot hole every time. This design prevents the bit from "walking" or drilling at an angle, making it an essential tool for accurately installing door hinges, cabinet hardware, and drawer slides.
