The BBC Micro:bit is a compact, programmable device designed for hands-on learning and creativity. It features a 5×5 LED matrix, two programmable buttons, a built-in speaker and microphone, motion and temperature sensors, and multiple input/output pins for expansion. The micro:bit V2 improves upon its predecessor with enhanced touch sensitivity, an onboard microphone for sound detection, and a speaker for audio playback. It also boasts increased processing power and an energy-saving mode for longer battery life.
Programming the micro:bit requires a computer, tablet, or phone to write and upload code. Once programmed, it runs independently with a battery pack.
