Frequently Asked Questions

What is a “low-priority promotion”, and how can I avoid it?

A “low-priority promotion” applies to ads with inappropriate content in their description. When your ad description contains information that isn’t about the specified product, we automatically lower the priority of its promotion. As a result, such ads will be placed at the end of search results and get less visibility. You’ll receive an email from us notifying you that some of your ads have activated a “low-priority promotion” mode.

If such happened, there's only one way to fix this:

  1. Review your ads to find the ones that contain the “low-priority promotion mode” alert. Open each ad to see if they’ve been affected – the alert is visible right below the ad picture;
  2. Remove details that are not about the promoted product and update your ads.

As soon as we check the edited ad and verify that there is nothing extra in the product description, we’ll turn off the “low-priority promotion” mode for it, and you’ll be able to advertise it efficiently.

Pay attention to what you write in the product description to prevent your ads from being in the “low-priority promotion” mode. The description should help you tell more about the product you’re trying to sell. If you add information that promotes your other products, events, or additional services, it jeopardises the promotion of the item specified in the ad. We have a simple rule: one product = one ad.

Use separate ads to promote different products or additional services. It’s the only way to become a trusted seller and successfully grow your business on Jiji 🙌
